Dojo Legacy
A Jiu-Jitsu and MMA career game: you start at white belt and end as a legend. Free in the browser, on iPhone and on Android.
The challenge
A turn-based fighting game with a whole career, on and off the mat, that runs the same in the browser and on the phone, saves progress in the cloud and brings players together in rankings, leagues and PvP.
What was built
- Move-by-move fights: position, stamina and momentum, with 165 Jiu-Jitsu techniques and 61 MMA striking techniques.
- A full career: belt promotions, your own gym with students, a manager, sponsorships and contracts, and an heir who carries on the legacy.
- Turn-based online PvP, live tournaments and the Team League, with five divisions, from the Rookie League to the Grand League.
- Live rankings and a Hall of Fame, with real players only, updated every hour.
- A game guide with a page per technique and per championship, in Portuguese and English: 566 pages in the sitemap.
- You can play without an account; with the free account, your career is saved in the cloud and continues on another device.
Under the hood
- A Next.js website on Vercel; the same game in the browser and in the iPhone and Android apps.
- Careers are saved in the cloud, and team logos in Supabase.
- Portuguese and English, with the language chosen at the top.
