V²Tech COMBUSTÍVEL
For bus companies, hauliers and fleets in Brazil to check whether the price of diesel, petrol or ethanol charged by the distributor makes sense.
The challenge
When a new fuel price arrives, knowing whether it is fair takes a long calculation: the Petrobras price, taxes, biodiesel, freight, the distributor's margin and interest on payment terms. That calculation lived in a spreadsheet.
What was built
- The customer enters where they receive the fuel, what the contract says and the proposed price; the site answers whether the price makes sense, what the fair price would be and how much the difference represents per month.
- Company accounts with teams: everyone sees the same contracts and queries.
- Saved contracts are recalculated every day, with an email alert when the price paid leaves the range or a price change is coming.
- A one-page PDF report and, when the price is high, a ready-made letter to the distributor.
- A public map of the fair price by state, a scenario simulator and a calendar of price changes.
- An API so fleet systems can look up the fair price on their own.
Under the hood
- The calculation runs on the server: the customer's browser only receives the result.
- Market data (Petrobras, the Central Bank of Brazil, the fuel regulator ANP) is updated every day by a bot that rejects implausible values.
- Daily encrypted backups.
